Woman Falls 38 Floors at Telok Blangah

The body of a 53-year-old woman was found at the foot of Block 80A, Telok Blangah Street 31 early Monday morning, local media reported.

A knife was also found lodged in her chest. According to Lianhe Wanbao, the deceased has been identified as a resident of the nearby Block 66.

She is believed to have fallen from the 38th floor, the highest floor of the building. A witness who identified himself as Mr Chan told Wanbao he saw the gruesome sight while returning home at about 5am.

Meanwhile, another resident recalled seeing a large area cordoned off by the police, as well as blood on the ground, Shin Min Daily News reported.

The police also located a pair of white slippers near the lift landing on the 38th floor, believed to be the deceased’s belongings.

Her husband and other family members declined to be interviewed when approached by Lianhe Wanbao.

The police said that the case has been classified as an unnatural death and investigations are ongoing.
